SELVA
Find out about my background, experience and approach to therapy.

Knowledge

I hold three university degrees: Psychology, Social Work, and Social and Cultural Anthropology. I completed a Master's degree in Research on New Trends in Anthropology and obtained the Certificate of Pedagogical Aptitude, qualifying me to teach at secondary school level.

In the United Kingdom, I became certified as an EFT Tapping (Emotional Freedom Techniques) Practitioner, and over the years I have trained in disciplines such as Astrology, Gestalt Therapy, the Enneagram, Family Constellations, Shamanism, A Course in Miracles (ACIM), Reiki, Mindfulness, and Self-Compassion. I also draw nourishment from the wisdom contained in the more than 300 books that make up my library on human and spiritual development.

My perspective on religion is syncretic. I continuously study Kabbalah, Zen Buddhism, and Taoism, integrating the mystical philosophies of different parts of the world and the teachings of great spiritual masters who have profoundly influenced my path.

Experience

For years, I worked as a psychologist in my private practice, supporting individuals and couples in their therapeutic processes. I have facilitated workshops in four countries and led a women's circle for three years, driven by my passion for creating meaningful community connections.

I have also been a speaker on gender equality, an international aid worker with street children in the Philippines and with the Huaorani tribe in the Amazon rainforest, and a social worker supporting people experiencing homelessness and children in foster care.

In addition, since working in a palliative care hospital at the age of twenty, I have felt deeply honored to accompany people through the final months, weeks, or days of their lives.

On a personal level, I have walked the paths that I now help others heal. I experienced the loss of my twin sister and the impact of Vanishing Twin Syndrome. I overcame Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (C-PTSD), school bullying, professional burnout, anxiety, and panic attacks (caused by a medication interaction).

I am a highly sensitive person (HSP), an empath, and neurodivergent. A long period of ill health led me through my own dark night of the soul and ultimately to rediscover the meaning of life.

I have lived in five countries, and in my twenties I traveled solo around the world for almost three years, with no phone and nothing but a backpack, on what became an intense and truly life-changing spiritual quest.

Connection

For as long as I can remember, I have had a close connection with what lies beyond the veil. As a child, it frightened me, but as I grew older and began studying spirituality, I gradually came to understand and integrate what I was experiencing, while my clairsentient abilities continued to develop.

Since then, I have received a constant flow of information about my surroundings or whatever my attention is focused on. These perceptions come to me in the form of emotions, bodily sensations, or thoughts carrying information that is not immediately available on the surface.

I also practice meditation and automatic writing to connect with my spiritual guides (ancestors, ascended masters, angels, and power animal), and at times I use some of my oracles (tarot-like cards), not as a means of divination, but as a map of the soul’s journey. All of this gives me a broader perspective on the therapeutic journeys of those who seek my guidance.
